The first place we visited was Great Minster (Grossmunster) and then we walked along and crossed Limmat River to Lindenhof. Then we visited the Schipfe area, the famous narrow shopping street Augustiner Street, and St Peter’s Church.
Next, we found out that we were on the Bahnhof Street already. After some window shopping, we visited the Minster of Our Lady (Fraumunster), Beyer Watch & Jewelry store and then we did more window shopping on the Bahnhof Street.
Then, we wondered to the Zurich Lake and took a boat ride. The cost of this boat ride is covered by the ZurichCard we purchased in the airport earlier. It was an enjoyable one and half hours boat ride.
After that we got on the UBS Polybahn to the ETH Zurich University to have a wonderful city view from the top. Then we saw Tram #6 we a sign to the Zoo. We hopped on to go to the Zoo. Unfortunately we were a little bit late to get into the Zoo after we arrived there.
We had dinner at nearby restaurant Wirtschaft Zum Vorbahnhof based on a recommendation from the staff working in the Best Western Hotel Montana. It is a typical Swiss restaurant. However, we did not particularly care for their food and it was expensive too. A dish of simple hash brown costed us 16 CHF (about $17.56 US dollars). One thing interesting about this restaurant is that they allow their dinners to play cards as long as they wish. We saw a few tables with dinners playing cards there.
